IES
India Energy Stack (IES) is a national initiative of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, aimed at enabling the future of India’s energy sector through open, interoperable digital platforms and data-driven innovation. The initiative is being guided by Shri Nandan Nilekani as Chief Mentor. REC Limited has been designated as the Nodal Agency for implementation, with FSR Global as the Knowledge Partner.
Working definition of IES
India Energy Stack (IES) is a digital public infrastructure to identify and connect stakeholders and assets, thereby facilitating open data exchange in the power system through uniform specifications and standards, unlocking transparent, reliable, inclusive, efficient, and affordable access to energy.

First Task Force Meeting on 24.11.2025
Task Force on India Energy Stack held under the chairpersonship of Sh. R S Sharma on 24.11.2025 in New Delhi. The IES Taskforce functions as the guiding body for the development of the India Energy Stack. The meeting focused mainly on two core foundational elements: • The IES Strategy Document version 0.1 • The IES Architecture Document version 0.1

Second Task force on the India Energy Stack held under the chairpersonship of Sh. R S Sharma on 19.12.2025 in New Delhi.
