IES-Expression of Interest
Join the India Energy Stack (IES) Pilot on Peer to Peer Trading
REC Limited invites eligible Technology Solution Providers (TSPs) to participate in an India Energy Stack (IES) pilot focused on an inter-state peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading use case. Participation is on a voluntary basis.
About IES:
India Energy Stack (IES) is a digital public infrastructure to identify and connect stakeholders and assets, thereby facilitating open data exchange in the power system through uniform specifications and standards, unlocking transparent, reliable, inclusive, efficient, and affordable access to energy.
Pilot Objective and Scope
The pilot will deploy IES specifications for an inter-state P2P trading workflow by testing end-to-end interoperability, including consent-based data exchange, standard payloads, auditability, and integration with utility and market-relevant systems. Selected TSPs will be required to build or adapt a P2P trading platform and integrate it with an interstate P2P network compliant with IES specs.

Eligibility & Expectations:
- Ability to integrate with utility systems (MDM, RMS, ERP, Billing) via open APIs, webhooks, or secure file interfaces.
- Support for consent-based data exchange, auditability, and interoperable payloads as per IES specifications.
- Build a trading platform for consumers and prosumers to trade as per IES specifications
Timeline:
- Onboarding on 17 January, 2026
- Final delivery 5 February, 2026
